Money, Money, Money

Everyone has a little, everyone wants more. Some stock pile it, some give it all away.

What category are you in? What category do you want to be in?

I want to be able to give whenever God speaks. I want to be in great shape to be able to give extravagant gifts. I'm reading The Blessed Life by Robert Morris. There are lists of gifts and motivations and I have the spiritual gift of giving. It's not just money, it's things that I've been blessed with that I am able to give to others. I am not in the place I want to be to be able to give back to God. I can't be generous like he's called me to be when I've got credit card bills and school loans.  What does this mean for me now?
I'm cutting my budget as tight as possible so that I can not only pay off these debts, but so I can be in a better position when God calls me to give. I'm going to do the Dave Ramsey method and build a foundation for my future. Today I signed a life insurance policy that offers a little bubble of protection. It also leaves my family with money to cover anything that should happen to me. I've made a budget and I'm going to do everything in my power to stick to it for the next year.  That includes a little savings now for gifts and things too.

For now I'm broke but not for long!
