February is Here and Gone

I know this month is 2 days shorter than any other month but it felt weeks shorter. I finished the Paleo challenge with a total of 10 pounds lost. I got my first commision check from 31! and it's being saved :) I tried more than 2 new recipes on Super Bowl week and the best was Bacon and Guac sandwiches!! I will make those more often! The other things I tried were Kale chips (Good) and Zucchini chips (not great).

I was reading in my devotions today about when we get saved. Salvation is the awakening of our soul. From that point on we grow stronger as long as we feed it. It isn't an instant strength like turning into the HULK, it's a building strength that you get from constant stretching and training. It's just like working out and eating right. Consistent application over time EQUALS Transformation. If I eat 1 healthy meal a week and then eat all junk food that one healthy meal won't matter. If I go to the gym once a week, that workout is going to be wasted because I'm only spending a short time on it. So how can I grow in Jesus when I'm only getting in the word on Sundays? The answer is I can't and that when the Enemy comes tempting and he knows I'm weakened by the lack of Spiritual food.

I have been talking with my SG girls and they were talking about having more consistent time with God. I did really well with this in January and mid february too, but I got caught up in everything else that was going on and took my eyes off of God. I started thinking self destructive thoughts about my life and I knew that It was going in a bad direction. Today I'm starting a new 40 day reading plan by Hillsong and I can't wait to reset my focus and only see HIM!
