January Here and Gone

Well the first month of 2013 had FLOWN on by.  I am down 9.2 pounds so far and am now trying a few things to help me train better for my half marathon.  Yeah I'm doing a half marathon... I'm not going to go crazy over my time or anything like that.  I'm doing my first one just to do it and then I will start to really work on doing it faster! 
   So I bought some protein powder today to drink after my runs/workouts.  I am also taking a supplement to curb my appetite a little.  I am still using MFP to track my calories and exercise.  I am still planning to do my 2 hour workouts on Saturday.  I made it through January with only two visits to CFA  and one was for oatmeal and I don't consider that "fast" food.  I went to a few restaurants during the month but chose what I ate wisely (usually a salad of lean meat).  the plan for February was to work on my mile time and I am doing that with my marathon training. I am not going to stick to 2 miles though.  I am on a ten week training schedule for my half and then I'm going to repeat week 9 that should get me right up to the race. 
    February brings my year of no dating to a close.  I was writing the other day about how much has changed and yet how little it's been one year and the pain of what happened is still there, but there is strength to forgive the other party and admit that it was my fault too.  I have taken the step of forgiveness and hope the pain will lessen as well.  I have already been asked about "prospects" and here is my reply to that.  I am NOT pursuing anyone.  I am surrounded by amazing friends that LOVE Jesus and there is some one out there for me.  I am still being shaped into who God wants me to be and when we are both ready, God will bring us together. 
    Well that's all for this post.  I guess I will post again as my training progresses.
